Norwegians held back in Gaza

A group of 14 Norwegian citizens scheduled to be evacuated from the Gaza Strip, have been told that it will be impossible to bring them out on Monday, due to the heavy fighting in the area.

- No Norwegians will be able to leave Gaza today, says Norway's reprsentative to the Palestinian areas, Tor Wennesland. He says to NRK that the fighting has been going on all night and that it has intensified in the morning hours Monday.

In order to leave, the evacuees have to cross the front line at Ezra, which is now considered a danger zone.

Three days ago, a group of foreign nationals were abe to leave Gaza. Among them were six Norwegians.
